'Being Spotted' Yields A Chevrolet Corvette For Lucky Fan

Before the engines fired for the 48th annual Pepsi 400 at historic Daytona International Speedway, Tampa, Fla.'s Michael Stanley got to start the engines on his new Chevrolet Corvette that he won as part of the "Be Spotted and Win" Pepsi 400 promotion. Daytona International Speedway partnered with Kangaroo Express, WXTB-FM Tampa, WOCL-FM Orlando and WROO-FM Jacksonville to give away a new Chevrolet Corvette during the Pepsi 400 pre-race ceremonies. During the month of June, the partner in each market gave away Happy July 1st stickers at radio remotes in their region and promoted listeners to go to their local Kangaroo Express store to also pick up Happy July 1st stickers. The radio stations set up "Be Spotted" times and listeners checked the station's Web site to see if they were listed as "being spotted." At the conclusion of the month-long promotion, each station had a drawing to pick an overall winner who would have a chance to win the Chevrolet Corvette during Pepsi 400 pre-race ceremonies. Besides having a chance to win a Corvette on the legendary tri-oval grass of DIS, the winner in each market also received a Pepsi 400 VIP package consisting of two Pepsi 400 tickets, Pre-Race/NEXTEL FANZONE passes, Pepsi Racing cooler, T-shirt and hat. During pre-race ceremonies, the three finalists randomly opened doors on a Pepsi delivery truck and Stanley, who picked last, was the lucky winner.
