DAYTONA USA will host a NASCAR Day Celebration on Friday, May 18th 2007 outside the "Official Attraction of NASCAR"beginning at 11:45 a.m. with a special announcement by Speedway President Robin Braig and city and county officials.
The event, open to the public and those who have donated and received a NASCAR Day pin, will include music, entertainment and a hot dog roast to support NASCAR Day 2007.
To obtain a NASCAR Day pin, make your $5 donation at the DAYTONA USA Box Office. When NASCAR fans purchase their NASCAR Day 2007 pin at DAYTONA USA, they can also write their name or message on a ribbon that will be displayed in the lobby of DAYTONA USA.
On NASCAR Day, fans, companies, schools and organizations across the nation show their support of the charitable community of NASCAR by donating $5 for a commemorative NASCAR Day lapel pin and by wearing their favorite NASCAR gear. This year's pin was designed by NASCAR's officially-licensed artist Sam Bass.
Launched in 2004, NASCAR Day has raised over $3 million to date. NASCAR Day, an annual, charitable celebration of the spirit of NASCAR fans, last year raised more than $1.3 million for the NASCAR Foundation (www.nascar.com/foundation) which supports a wide range of charitable initiatives that reflect the core values of the NASCAR Family.
