Rules for the “Daytona International Speedway® Mayor of DIRECTV Speedweeks®
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. Contest begins December 18, 2008, and ends 12 AM / Eastern on January 8, 2009. You will be entered for a chance to win by writing a paragraph consisting of 100 words or less why you should be Mayor of SPEEDWEEKS® 2009 at Daytona International Speedway® and. registering by completing the official entry form available online at www.daytonainternationalspeedway.com, or by picking up and dropping off application at DAYTONA 500® EXPERIENCE™ Guest Services, or by mailing your entry form to “Daytona International Speedway® Mayor of DIRECTV SPEEDWEEKS® 2009 Contest,” c/o Daytona International Speedway, LLC, Attn: Communications Department, P.O. Box 2801, Daytona Beach, FL 32120-9975. Not responsible for lost, late, mutilated, misdirected, or postage-due entries. Incomplete, illegible, or fraudulent entries not considered. All entries must be received on or before 12 AM / Eastern, January 8, 2009. Contest open to legal residents of the United States age 18 or older with a valid driver’s license. Only one (1) entry per person permitted. Employees of Daytona International Speedway, LLC and its parent, subsidiary, or related companies and Black Crow Media Radio Stations, and members of their immediate family are not eligible to participate. Available prizes: One (1) Grand Prize Winner will receive two (2) tickets to all SPEEDWEEKS® 2009 races scheduled to be held at Daytona International Speedway®, two (2) tickets to the DAYTONA 500® Experience™, participation in SPEEDWEEKS® 2009 Opening Ceremonies at Rolex 24 practice, opportunity to wave the flag at Rolex 24 At DAYTONA® practice on January 22, 2009, attend the driver's meeting for the NextEra Energy Resources 250 NASCAR Camping World Truck Race on February 13, 2009, access for two (2) to Party Zone hospitality for the Camping World 300 NASCAR Nationwide series race on February 14, 2009, and access for two (2) to pre-race/Sprint FANZONE and Gatorade Victory Lane for the DAYTONA 500® on February 15, 2009. Approximate retail value of the prize is: $1105. Odds of winning depend upon number of eligible entries received. All applicable taxes, license, registration fees, insurance, and any other expenses not specifically listed herein (including without limitation any necessary transportation and lodging) are the responsibility of prize winner. Prize winner must present personal identification bearing his/her photograph, name, age, and address, and sign a declaration of eligibility and liability release in order to take delivery of any prize. Prizes are not transferable. No cash in lieu of prizes. No substitution of prize. In the event any race is postponed, changed, or canceled in whole or in part, no cash, prize substitutions, or other compensation will be provided. Any difference between estimated prize value and actual prize value will not be awarded to any prize winner. Winner will be selected by designated Daytona International Speedway employees based on most creative reason for wanting to be chosen Mayor of DIRECTV SPEEDWEEKS® 2009 from among all eligible entries the week of January 8, 2009, and such winner will be notified by telephone the week of January 8, 2009. Winner chosen is the sole discretion of Daytona International Speedway. If any winner fails to take delivery of his/her prize or cannot be reached by telephone by 5 PM / Eastern, January 12, 2009, then an alternate winner for that prize will be selected by random drawing from among remaining eligible entries. By entering this contest and/or using any prize, you agree: (1) to release Daytona International Speedway, LLC, its parent, subsidiary and affiliated companies and their respective shareholders, officers, directors, employees, members, agents and assigns, the Daytona Beach Racing & Recreational Facilities District, the City of Daytona Beach and the County of Volusia from liability of any kind or nature for any loss, claims, damages, or injuries of any kind associated with participation in this contest or with acceptance and use of any prize; (2) to be bound by these rules and any decisions of the Sponsor or promoter or Daytona International Speedway, LLC relating to participation in the contest, selection of winners and awarding of prizes, whose decisions are final; and (3) request a call, email or direct mail contact or solicitation by Daytona International Speedway, LLC, its parent, subsidiary and affiliated companies and their respective employees, agents and assigns. In order to claim prize, additional releases and/or waivers of liability required by Daytona International Speedway, LLC and/or any applicable sanctioning body shall also be required as appropriate. Acceptance of any prize constitutes permission to use winner’s name, biographical information, and/or likeness for purposes of advertising and promotion without further compensation, unless prohibited by law. Winner’s name will be posted on Daytona International Speedway’s website www.daytonainternationalspeedway.com following the drawings, or may be obtained by sending a stamped, self-addressed envelope to “Daytona International Speedway® Mayor of DIRECTV SPEEDWEEKS® 2009 Contest” between December 18, 2008 and January 8, 2009. Requests not received during that period will not be processed.
