2/12/2009
Braun turned a fast lap of 177.441 mph around the 2.5-mile tri-oval. Rounding out the front row was Matt Crafton, who posted a top speed of 175.891 mph.
The 2009 NextEra Energy Resources 250 at Daytona International Speedway will celebrate the 10th season of NASCAR Camping World Truck Series
Driver of the Con-way Freight Ford F-150 for Roush Fenway Racing, Braun won the Raybestos Rookie of the Year Award in the 2008 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series season and looks to build upon his success in 2009.
“It’s definitely a great way to start off the season,” Braun said. “I feel that without the testing, our guys just worked extremely hard. This pole was more about those guys, the work that they’ve done. The guys in the motor shop, the guys in the body shop, all the work that everybody’s put in. I think anyone could have driven that truck today and got on the pole.”
“We got a good shot at winning two in a row,” Bodine said. “We just got to stay out of trouble, put it in the right place at the right time and hopefully get it done at the end of the race.”
