DAYTONA BEACH , Fla. (Feb. 4, 2009) – Three-time Daytona 500 champion Bobby Allison will hold a book signing during DIRECTV Speedweeks on Friday, Feb. 13 and Saturday, Feb. 14 in the lobby of the Daytona 500 Experience at Daytona International Speedway.
Allison will be selling and signing copies of Miracle: Bobby Allison and the Saga of the Alabama Gang ($15) and Bobby Allison: A Racer’s Racer ($30) on Friday, Feb. 13 between 4 p.m. – 5 p.m. and on Saturday, Feb. 14 between 10 a.m. – 11 a.m. in the lobby of Daytona 500 Experience.
Allison is one of only five drivers to have won the Daytona 500 three or more times. He captured the 1978 Daytona 500 with Bud Moore, the 1982 with DiGard Racing and the 1988 with Stavola Bros.
In the 1988 Daytona 500, Allison and his son Davey delivered the race’s only 1-2 father-son finish. That same year, Allison also won the 300-mile Nationwide Series race, the Gatorade qualifying race and the fishing tournament.
