DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (March 4, 2009) – For the first time ever, motorcycle enthusiasts with infield tickets for Thursday’s American Superbike event and Friday night’s Daytona 200 By Honda Daytona SportBike race will have the opportunity to walk the tri-oval grass and pit road for pre-race festivities as well as get close to the stage for rider introductions.
For both the American Superbike event on Thursday at 3:30 p.m. and Friday’s historic 68th Daytona 200 By Honda at 8 p.m., fans that purchase an infield ticket can make their way down to the tri-oval from the grandstands or the infield/Sprint FANZONE for the pre-race activities.
This fan-friendly change will put the bike fans up close to the riders on the pre-race stage and their motorcycle racing machines prior to the start of both events.
Another opportunity for fans to see the riders will be the autograph session on Thursday at 12:40 p.m. in the Sprint FANZONE with riders from American Superbike, Daytona SportBike and SunTrust Moto-GT all participating.
