DAYTONA BEACH , Fla. – As motorcycles buzz around Daytona International Speedway’s road course during this weekend’s Fall Cycle Scene races, bulldozers are making noise outside Turns 1 and 2 in the West Lot as construction is now underway on the quarter-mile dirt track.

Construction on the quarter-mile dirt track, which will be made up of lime rock, has begun and will be complete in time for next year’s March 3-4 AMA Pro Racing Flat Track motorcycle events, which are a part of 2010 Daytona 200 Week By Honda.
