DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Daytona International Speedway President Joie Chitwood III today announced the following organizational changes effective immediately:
• Sean Belgrade was named Vice President of Marketing. Belgrade is the former Managing Director of Consumer Marketing for International Speedway Corporation (“ISC”), parent company of Daytona International Speedway. In his new role, Belgrade will oversee all aspects of marketing, ticketing, public relations and guest services for The World Center of Racing. He will report to Chitwood.
• Lenny Santiago was named Director of Public Relations for the speedway. Formerly the Director of Marketing Communications for ISC, Santiago will lead Daytona’s public relations team which includes Manager of Media Relations Andrew Booth, as well as the speedway’s credential department led by Director of Credentials Donna Freismuth. In addition, Santiago will continue to manage select corporate communications initiatives for ISC.
• Julie Giese, Daytona’s former Director of Communications, has been named Director of Marketing. Giese will be responsible for developing and executing the speedway’s marketing initiatives, leading a team that includes Joann Mantovani, Manager of Advertising and Promotion, and Jason Lucas, Manager of Consumer Marketing.
• Mike Scheer was named Senior Financial Analyst for Daytona International Speedway. Scheer was formerly a Senior Financial Analyst with ISC. In his new role, Scheer will be responsible for various financial analyses including return on investment, cash flow, multi-year financial modeling, budgeting, and other financial functions.
