GEICO Brands Daytona Campgrounds with Caveman and Gecko, Debuts Interactive Infield Display for Camping Race Fans
DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Set to debut during Speedweeks, GEICO Insurance unveils its new branding of the camping areas at Daytona International Speedway – the “World Center of Racing.”
GEICO will leverage its widely popular marketing properties to rebrand the camping areas with the GEICO Caveman and GEICO Gecko personalities. The GEICO Caveman Campgrounds will house tent campers and GEICO Park West, Gecko Shores at Lake Lloyd & the various GEICO Grounds areas will host recreational vehicles.
In addition to the branding, GEICO will debut a prominent, interactive display in the infield area where fans can enjoy the following:
• Free WiFi access for up to 65 simultaneous users;
• Bean Bag Toss tournaments;
• Giveaways of premiums items including American Express gift cards;
• Photo opportunities with the GEICO Gecko.
In addition, campers in the RV areas can get their very own photo with the GEICO Gecko, and each RV will receive a special GEICO gift bag during load-in. They will also have the opportunity to win “The Golden Gecko Award” for best decorated/themed RV.
