DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Daytona International Speedway President Joie Chitwood III announced the following promotions to the team at the “World Center of Racing:”
• Julie Giese, who joined DIS in 2004 and has been with International Speedway Corporation for 10 years, has been promoted to Senior Director of Marketing. In her role, Giese is responsible for all advertising and consumer marketing at the Speedway in addition to coordinating pre-race and post-race activities. In addition, she continues to develop sports car and motorcycle events.
• Kari Gritton, who also joined DIS in 2004 and has been with ISC for 13 years, has been named Senior Director of Ticketing. Gritton oversees all ticket office operations including group and consumer sales as well as consumer promotions.
• Lenny Santiago has been named Senior Director of Public Relations. Santiago, who joined DIS last year after serving as the Director of Marketing Communications at ISC, oversees Daytona’s public relations team and credential department. Santiago joined ISC in 2003.
“Julie, Kari and Lenny have been instrumental in the success of Daytona International Speedway,” Chitwood said. “We’re looking forward to their continued leadership and contributions in delivering a world-class motorsports experience for our guests.”
