It’s 86,400 seconds of unparalleled excitement. If you’re ready to live every one of them, check out a few of our favorite spots to watch North America’s most prestigious sports car race.
Some of the best seats in the house are located right along the start/finish line and eye level with the flag stand provide terrific views throughout the race, but especially during the start of the race and 24 hours later when the cars race to the finish.
UNOH Fanzone Fandeck
A great place to watch the race is from atop the UNOH Fanzone Fandeck, which overlooks the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Challenge series garages. In addition to an insider bird’s-eye view of garage activity, you’re in a great location to enjoy frontstretch track action as drivers come out of Turn 4.
Pedro Rodriguez International Horseshoe
This famous turn has been a staple of DAYTONA's 3.56-mile road course since its inception. With a setup of infield bleachers, you can watch much of the early passing as drivers try to navigate the course’s first hairpin turn.
After the driver’s successfully navigate the International Horseshoe, they have to deal with a tight hairpin turn that ends with a sharp left turn in order to get back on the high banks. There’s plentiful bleacher seating in this part of the infield as this is yet another great spot to watch passing.
At 150-feet, one of the highest Ferris wheels on the East Coast gives you unmatched views of the on-track action. You’ll have a beautiful 360-degree view of the entire track and will be able to see the Atlantic Ocean from your high perch.
UNOH Fanzone puts you right on top of the action with a jumbotron, ample seating and a variety of food and beverage options. You can hear the growl of the engines, see the track kick up rubber from the tires and feel the energy of race teams going all out for the win. This is one of the best spots to observe as teams fight fatigue and work together to perform mechanical miracles on their cars to keep them running for 24 consecutive hours.
The Infield Kink
The infield kink is the part of the Daytona International Speedway course that connects the two horseshoe turns. As drivers exit the International Horseshoe turn, the asphalt makes a slight kink to the left before the west horseshoe turn. Grab a spot on the infield grandstands and watch cars attempt bold passes as the infield course begins.
Pass through one of five of the stadium’s five injectors, ride on one of 40 escalators and stroll through spacious concourses as you find your wider, more comfortable seating, complete with stunning sightlines and breathtaking views. There isn’t a bad seat in the house as the stadium gives you a bird’s-eye view of the entire road course.
