Tickets to NASCAR’s biggest, richest and most prestigious race – the 55th annual Daytona 500 on Sunday, Feb. 24 – will go on sale Friday, June 1 at 9 a.m. (ET).

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. –Tickets to NASCAR’s biggest, richest and most prestigious race – the 55th annual Daytona 500 on Sunday, Feb. 24 – will go on sale Friday, June 1 at 9 a.m. (ET). Tickets for the Daytona 500, which was won earlier this year by Matt Kenseth, start at $65.

“Year in and year out, the Daytona 500 makes racing history and race fans should witness the excitement and pageantry of ’The Great American Race’ in person,” Daytona International Speedway President Joie Chitwood III said. “In order to secure the best seats, we encourage our race fans to make their plans early as we kick off the new NASCAR Sprint Cup Series season with the sport’s premier event.”

For the second straight year, the Speedway is offering special youth pricing for the 55th annual Daytona 500.  Children 12 and under will receive 50 percent off all Superstretch grandstand seats for the Daytona 500 while supplies last. In addition, children 12 and under are free in the Sprint FANZONE throughout Budweiser Speedweeks. 

In addition to the 55th annual Daytona 500, tickets for all Budweiser Speedweeks 2013 events will be available for purchase including the DRIVE4COPD 300 NASCAR Nationwide Series race, the NextEra Energy Resources 250 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race, the Budweiser Duel, the Daytona Shootout and Lucas Oil Slick Mist 200 doubleheader, Daytona 500 Qualifying Presented By Kroger and the 51st anniversary of the Rolex 24 At Daytona.

Race fans can also now pre-purchase weekend infield camping for the Daytona Shootout weekend as well as Rolex 24 At Daytona infield car parking packages.

Tickets for the inaugural UNOH Battle At The Beach on Feb. 18-19, which will feature two days of racing headlined by three non-points special events: the NASCAR K&N Pro Series, NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour and the Late Model division of the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series, will go on sale at a later date.

May 25 | Almirola’s First Sprint Cup Pole Secures Berth in 2013 Daytona Shootout

Tampa, Fla., native Aric Almirola put the famed No. 43 U.S. Air Force Ford of Richard Petty Motorsports on the pole Thursday night for Sunday’s Coca-Cola 600 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race and earned his first career start in next year’s Daytona Shootout at Daytona International Speedway.

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Tampa, Fla., native Aric Almirola put the famed No. 43 U.S. Air Force Ford of Richard Petty Motorsports on the pole Thursday night for Sunday’s Coca-Cola 600 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race and earned his first career start in next year’s Daytona Shootout at Daytona International Speedway.

Almirola posted a speed of 192.940 mph around the 1.5-mile Charlotte Motor Speedway to earn his first career Sprint Cup pole. He becomes the 18th driver to lock up a spot in the star-studded field of top drivers that will compete in the fan favorite event that kicks off Budweiser Speedweeks 2013.

“Richard asked me when we were standing over there in Victory Lane taking pictures he was like, ‘Well, did you scare yourself?’  And the answer is no,” Almirola said.  “When they drive that good they’re really not that scary.  It was a fast lap.  I knew I hit my marks and I knew the car did a lot of things it didn’t do in practice when the heat was on the race track, so I knew it was gonna be fast, but I didn’t realize it was gonna be that fast.  I’m just proud of everybody at Richard Petty Motorsports.”

Eligibility requirements for next season’s Daytona Shootout return to its roots with the field consisting of pole winners and past Shootout winners who have attempted to qualify for at least one race during the 2012 season.

Employees from NASCAR, International Speedway Corporation, Daytona International Speedway and Americrown planted 110 trees throughout the Volusia County as part of the NASCAR Green Clean Air program.

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -- Employees from NASCAR, International Speedway Corporation, Daytona International Speedway and Americrown on Wednesday planted 110 trees throughout the Volusia County as part of the NASCAR Green Clean Air program.

NASCAR Green Clean Air is a unique program that plants 10 trees for each Green Flag that drops during races, capturing 100% of the carbon produced by the on track racing at the events.

As a result of the 54th annual Daytona 500 in February, 110 trees were planted at Mainland High School, Bethune Point, North Street Park in Daytona Beach and Orange City Elementary School in West Volusia.

Between 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m., Daytona International Speedway will celebrate NASCAR Day in front of the Tours and Ticket Office with lunch, raffle prizes and music. In addition, the Florida Blood Centers will be on site for a blood drive from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Daytona International Speedway will host the only AMA Supercross event in the state of Florida in 2013 when it stages the Daytona Supercross By Honda on its legendary tri-oval Saturday night, March 9. Tickets for the event are now on sale.

The Daytona Supercross By Honda’s grueling and challenging course will once again be a Ricky Carmichael Signature Design. Carmichael, who owns a record five Daytona Supercross By Honda victories, will design the course for the sixth straight year.

“It’s a privilege to be able to return and design the race course again,” Carmichael said. “Daytona has so much history and I am honored to be a part of it. I enjoy sitting down with a blank piece of paper and designing a course that will produce great racing for the riders as well as the fans.”

James Stewart will be looking to defend his 2012 Daytona Supercross By Honda title against a tough field of challengers that are expected to include two-time defending AMA Supercross champion Ryan Villopoto, Ryan Dungey, Chad Reed, Trey Canard and Andrew Short.

Daytona International Speedway has been home to the original Supercross since 1971 – the longest continuous Supercross event in America. Among the Supercross greats that have captured the Daytona Supercross By Honda include Bob Hannah, Jeff Stanton, Jeremy McGrath and Carmichael.
