Three-Time Daytona 500 Winner Jarrett To Make Appearance In Superstretch Terrace Club
Before Dale Jarrett makes his final Daytona 500 appearance in the historic 50th running of “The Great American Race” on Sunday, Feb. 17, he’ll make an appearance in front of race fans in the Superstretch Terrace Club. The appearance by Jarrett, a three-time Daytona 500 winner and the 1999 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series champion, is included in the Superstretch Terrace Club upgrade package, which is available to race fans that have already purchased Daytona 500 tickets for $215. Jarrett will compete in six races during the 2008 racing season in the No. 44 UPS Toyota for Michael Waltrip Racing – including the 50th running of the Daytona 500 – before retiring from NASCAR competition. The winner of 32 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series races, Jarrett has three Daytona 500 triumphs to his credit – one with Joe Gibbs Racing in 1993 and two with Yates Racing in 1996 and 2000. “It’s hard to believe it’s been 50 years,” Jarrett said of the 50th running of the Daytona 500. “As a champion of this race, there’s nothing like it.
