Kane named Vice President at Daytona International Speedway
DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Kenny Kane, Sr. Director of Media and Communications, has been named Vice President of Media and Communications, Daytona International Speedway President Robin Braig announced Saturday (Feb. 10). Kane, who has been Sr. Director since 2002, will continue to oversee all communications functions for the Speedway including media relations and services, advertising, promotions and publicity. “Kenny has provided great leadership to the communications team at DIS,” said Braig. “We look forward to his continued direction in his new position. “Kenny has also been my most trusted confidant for almost 20 years. He has relocated his family across this country a couple of times in support of this company. His dedication to me, ISC and NASCAR is unmatched. This announcement further supports our confidence in him and his great Team of professionals. They are the “gold standard” in the industry,” Braig added. Kane, a native of nearby New Smyrna Beach, Fla., began his career in motorsports in 1985 at Daytona International Speedway, a division of International Speedway Corp. (ISC). Between 1994 -1998, Kane oversaw public relations for Anheuser-Busch’s NASCAR Winston Cup Series programs. In 1999, Kane returned to ISC, to serve as director of publicity and business development at Phoenix International Raceway.
