Just a year ago, Daytona International Speedway welcomed the arrival of the LED-lit letters for a brand-new identification sign, one of the final pieces for the $400 million DAYTONA Rising project. The massive “supersign” was installed near the center injector, the perfect position for welcoming race fans to the world’s only motorsports stadium.
The “DAYTONA” text measures 13 feet 6 inches tall and the “INTERNATIONAL SPEEDWAY” text is more than 12 feet tall, while the entire length of the sign measures 355 feet.
Jones Sign Company built the letters, transporting them from Wisconsin over 1,500 miles and traveling across six states before reaching its final destination.
The sign has become a fan-favorite for photos. Did you take a picture with the sign? Leave us a message with your picture by commenting below!
