2016 saw NASCAR’s 4th of July weekend tradition return to its usual Saturday night spot with the first Coke Zero 400 Powered By Coca-Cola at the world's only motorsports stadium.
As always, there was plenty of excitement, from Montgomery Gentry’s pre-race concert to the thrilling finish that saw Brad Keselowski capture his first DAYTONA win and the largest fireworks show in the Southeast.
2017 aims to be now different. As such, below we've listed some of the top reasons you need to join us in 2017 for an historic weekend of racing (June 29-July 1), highlighted by the 59th running of the Coke Zero 400 Powered By Coca-Cola on July 1.
The World’s Only Motorsports Stadium
Those that came to the “World Center of Racing” in 2016 experienced firsthand just how completely the new Daytona International Speedway has reimagined the race day experience. The historic $400 million project resulted in an elevated fan experience with upgraded amenities across the board and has made Daytona International Speedway the place to watch NASCAR.
• 101,500 brand new 20”-21” stadium seats with backs, cup holders and armrests
• 40 escalators and 17 elevators transporting you to three wider concourse levels that span the frontstretch
• 2x the number of restrooms and 3x the number of concessions
• Improved sightlines and stunning race views
• FREE Wi-Fi access included throughout the concourses, Midway, FANZONE and all camping areas
• Stay connected to the race action with more than 1500 HD television displays
• Midway, located along the stadium frontstretch, features partner displays, the Fanatics Superstore, FPL Solar Pavilion, FREE Wi-Fi and more!
Every year Coke Zero 400 weekend is about much more than just racing. It's a celebration of everything America.
As such, the racing action is accompanied by a terrific showcase of patriotism during pre-race ceremonies. Just last year, over 200 military members unfurled a 150’x300’ American flag while the U.S. Army Maneuver Center of Excellence Band performed the national anthem. A stunning flyover by four F-16’s from the 93rd Fighter Squadron capped off a truly patriotic pre-race.
Expect 2017 to continue this proud tradition as it promises to be yet another spectacular celebration of everything that 4th of July weekend stands for.
The massive space, unveiled at its new location for the first time in 2016, is a must-visit – and FREE experience – for any race fan. Stroll through the Midway, now located right outside the stadium gates, and visit the many displays and vendors, as well as the Fanatics NASCAR Superstore.
With free Wi-Fi now available throughout the Midway, make sure a stop at the FPL Solar Pavilion is also on your to-do list; it’s a great place to relax in the shade while enjoying cold drinks and staying updated on all of the pre-race news and notes from your favorite social media channel, blog or website.
To assist you with finding the Midway and navigating the rest of the stadium, be sure to download the Daytona International Speedway Mobile App - the ultimate event companion.
The ultimate experience for any race fan, the Fanzone gives you an exclusive look inside the garages, along with driver appearances, pre-race access, live entertainment, autograph sessions and more! Be sure to add this insider access to your DAYTONA experience. Past driver appearances include 2016 DAYTONA 500 champion Denny Hamlin, Matt Kenseth, Joey Logano, Trevor Bayne, Casey Mears and more!
Be sure to add Fanzone to your race experience now to take advantage of early bird pricing. Don’t forget – kids 12 and under are FREE inside FANZONE throughout the Coke Zero 400 Powered By Coca-Cola weekend.
