With 2017 Scout Days fast approaching, make sure that you're in the know and prepared for the exciting weekend of fun, friends, sports cars and scouts in a unique camping environment with endless entertainment and activities.

Wristband: This is your ticket for the weekend; please make sure that you wear it throughout the event. Your wristband gives you access to all the locations and activities listed on the schedule on the back.
2017 Scout Days Track/Stadium Tram Tours Ticket: This ticket will provide you with a 30-minute Speedway tour from 10am-4pm on Saturday or 10am-2pm on Sunday. You must bring this ticket with you to the event in order to receive the tour.

Infield Camping Information
Camping locations: General Scouts Camping area will be in GEICO Grounds Orange. The Girls Scouts-only camping area will be in GEICO Grounds Green.
Emergencies: If there is an on-property emergency, please call 386-681-3333
Campfire: Campfires are permitted in camping areas only
Showers: The shower/restroom building will be open all weekend
Lights out: At 10:30pm we ask that everyone return to the camping area and be courteous to others
Parent pick-up: If a parent needs to pick-up a scout early, they must go to the guard station located outside the turn 4 tunnel (with ID). The scout must be escorted out by their scout leader and the scout leader will need to verify that the parent is eligible to leave with the scout.
Information booth: Located inside the Scout Days camping area, the information booth is where you can pick up event schedules, receive the scavenger hunt information and get the GPS locations for infield geocaching.
Timing: Scouts can begin loading in on Friday, January 6 at 11am and must load out by 4pm on Sunday, January 8.
Car Parking: As we’re expecting a full event, please be respectful of your neighbors by being mindful of the space you’re using in the camping area. Cars will not be permitted in the campgrounds. After setting up at your campsite, you will be directed to a nearby parking location, which you will have easy access to all weekend. Each troop will be allowed to keep one trailer in the camping area to accommodate gear and supplies for the week.
Scout Day Activities Information
Saturday Morning Pit Road Walk: Before track activity on Saturday morning we will open pit road and the frontstretch trioval for all Scout Days attendees. This unique opportunity will allow you to walk pit road and a portion of the track, as well as sign the start/finish line. The Pit Road Walk is available from 7-8 am and you can access pit road through the UNOH Fanzone.
Scout Days Open Garage: Scout Days attendees will have access to the IMSA WeatherTech Championship Series garage on Saturday, January 7 from 11:10 am until 12 pm and 4 pm until 6:15 pm. Access to the garages is available through the UNOH Fanzone.
Saturday Night Movie: For the very first time, Scouts are invited to a Saturday night movie. This exclusive showing of the 2006 Disney movie Cars starts at 8:30pm on the Main Stage in the UNOH Fanzone. Please bring blankets and chairs for seating. Select snacks and beverages will be available for purchase.
IMSA Tech Talk: Inside Gatorade Victory Lane from 5:15 pm – 5:45 pm on Saturday evening, IMSA Technical Director Scott Raymond will give first-hand demonstrations of how race teams mechanically manage the operation of their high-performance vehicles.
Fishing on Lake Lloyd: Take advantage of the 29-acre Lake Lloyd in DAYTONA’s infield by baiting some hooks and casting lines into the famous body of water. Each year, the catch and release program sees several big catches throughout the weekend.
Pit Stop Demo: Gather in Gatorade Victory Lane in the UNOH Fanzone as a team from the Continental SportsCar Challenge gives an up-close demonstration of one of racing’s most exciting and important moments – the pit stop. The demonstration takes place on Saturday from 10:30 am – 11 am.
IMSA Tech Inspection 101: IMSA Technical Director Scott Raymond will walk attendees through the highly detailed process every car must go through to meet the exact specifications IMSA requires to be race ready. This will take place at the WeatherTech garage inspection station inside the UNOH Fanzone at 9 am on Saturday.
Women in Sports Car Racing Q&A Session: For the very first time, DAYTONA will bring together women from the IMSA WeatherTech Championship Series for a special Q&A forum. The session, which includes Catherine Crawford, Katherine Legge, Jess Mace and Christina Nielson will be in the driver’s meeting room in the UNOH Fanzone from 4:30 pm – 5 pm on Saturday.
