Make sure that you’re prepared for Fall Cycle Scene at Daytona International Speedway by completing this checklist -- your key to enjoying a truly unique week of motorcycle action!
This one seems like a no-brainer, it just has to be on the list. No matter how near or far you’re coming from, bringing your own motorcycle is essential for truly experiencing the weekend. With free bike parking in the Midway and parking for your bike trailer available for just $25 in GEICO Park West, it’s easy to keep your bike nearby.
Riders bring some of the most unique motorcycles in the world to DAYTONA for the weekend. If you think your custom ride is something special, now's your chance to show it off by registering for the Baddest Bagger Bike Show presented by Bagger Nation on Friday, October 19, or the GEICO Bike Show with Full Throttle Magazine on Saturday, October 20, to win trophies, prizes and more!
Registration for the Baddest Bagger Bike Show runs from 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. on Friday next to the Harley-Davidson Thunder Alley stage in the Midway near the Florida Hospital Injector, while the trophy presentations will take place at 4 p.m. on the Thunder Alley stage. Likewise, the GEICO Bike Show registration is just $20 per bike and will be open from 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. on Saturday, with the winners announced at 5 p.m. on the Thunder Alley stage.
Free car parking is provided in GEICO Park West, making parking and transportation easy and convenient for all guests. You'll want to enter via Gate 40 off of Williamson Blvd. Free parking is also available in the infield with your infield admission to watch the on-track motorcycle action! Make sure to download the Daytona International Speedway mobile app so you can put a pin on your car in order to find it quickly!
Your Tent or RV
Believe it or not, tent camping in the GEICO Campgrounds, located inside Turns 3 and 4, is FREE with your daily or weekend admission ticket, so you can enjoy a night in the famous DAYTONA infield! Enjoy CCS and ASRA racing up-close from the UNOH Fanzone, around a campfire or from your cozy RV. RV camping in the infield’s Gecko Shores at Lake Lloyd (with hook-ups) is available for $295 and GEICO Grounds Red (without hook-ups) is $175; both include two three-day adult admissions for the weekend’s racing activities. Kids 12 and under are FREE.
Prepare for the Outdoors
October in DAYTONA brings some great weather; however, with the Florida sun overhead and most of your time spent outside exploring several entertainment options, you’ll want to have hats, sunglasses and sunscreen. If you need to grab some rest, be sure to do so in the shade with a cold beverage under the FPL Solar Pavilion. In addition, with so much to do and so much to see along the expansive Midway, a comfortable pair of shoes or boots will be your best friend for this event.
Come ready to add to your collection of gear as you’ll have the opportunity browse items from all over the industry. Daytona’s Motorcycle Marketplace has the latest in apparel, parts, accessories, bikes and more! If you’re looking for suggestions on what to go home with, be sure to check out the Hot Leathers Fashion Show and Bikini Contest on Saturday, October 20 at 1 p.m. on the Harley-Davidson Thunder Alley stage.
