Comoto will serve as the presenting sponsor for the 79th DAYTONA 200, America’s most historic motorcycle race, scheduled for Saturday, March 14 at Daytona International Speedway. The race will be known as the DAYTONA 200 presented by Comoto.
The 57-lap, 200-mile event will showcase 600cc sportbikes on the Speedway’s 3.51-mile road course and feature a $175,000 purse with a Rolex Cosmograph Daytona watch awarded to the champion of the race.
“We’re proud to welcome the Comoto Family of Brands as a presenting sponsor for the DAYTONA 200,” Daytona International Speedway President Chip Wile said. “This is a special year for the DAYTONA 200 as it will make up a doubleheader day of motorcycle racing with the DAYTONA TT that will create an even more memorable experience for guests at the ‘World Center of Racing.’ ”
The DAYTONA 200, sanctioned by the American Motorcyclist Association and operated by the American Sportbike Racing Association (ASRA), will be held alongside the DAYTONA TT on the second Saturday of Daytona Bike Week festivities. Fans will be able to enjoy the 79th DAYTONA 200 during the day and stay into the evening to cheer on the athletes of American Flat Track at their season-opening DAYTONA TT.
