NASCAR and Daytona International Speedway will provide more than 700 complimentary meals to local frontline and essential employees, including education, government, health care, law enforcement and first responders across the Daytona Beach area.
“Now more than ever, it’s important for our community to do their best to support our locals who are working so hard throughout this crisis,” stated Lesa France Kennedy, Executive Vice Chair, NASCAR. “Providing meals to essential employees is just a small token of our appreciation for their daily dedication to our community.”
Daytona International Speedway employees will work with local restauranteurs, including dining locations at ONE DAYTONA and Shoppes at ONE DAYTONA, to provide the complimentary lunches. The weeklong initiative is an expression of gratitude and appreciation for those working tirelessly to help keep the community safe during the coronavirus pandemic.
“This is an opportunity to support many of the individuals stepping up in the Daytona Beach area during this crisis,” said Chip Wile, President, Daytona International Speedway. “We are thankful for the commitment of the local community and we hope to brighten the days of those working on the front lines.”
Daytona International Speedway will work with local restaurants and local education, government, health care, law enforcement and first responder entities in identifying individuals to provide these complimentary meals over the coming week.
