Under the bright lights of Daytona International Speedway, American Flat Track will unveil its re-envisioning of America’s most historic form of motorcycle racing as the series kicks off the 2019 season at the “World Center of Racing!”
A New Era
2019 will mark the third running of the DAYTONA TT, an event which condenses two nights of racing formerly held at our DAYTONA Flat Track, now constructed inside the world-famous tri-oval grass field as part of Bike Week.
Two years ago, the DAYTONA TT marked the first time in 20 years that the AFT had raced a TT track on twin-cylinder motorcycles. The event began a new age of competition.
The Bikes
DAYTONA TT features two classes of bikes: Powerful, twin-cylinder motorcycles in the AFT Twins class and quick, shifty single-cylinder machines in AFT Singles.
The Course
While DAYTONA Flat Track races of the past have been held on dirt ovals, this race will be held on a one-of-a-kind TT course, and for the first time ever will run on the iconic DAYTONA tri-oval asphalt across the start/finish line before the riders turn back onto the TT course.
The course, designed by seven-time DAYTONA Flat Track Champion Chris Carr, is built underneath the DAYTONA Supercross course. The fastest portion of the course will be a long, angling straightaway running parallel to the asphalt track, with top speeds expected to reach 100 mph.
